Identity and contact information

Payment-card, UPI, banking and wallet transactions may be processed by third-party payment providers. Pexlumi does not ordinarily receive or store complete payment-card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs or banking passwords.
Invitation and event information
To create invitations, we may collect information such as:
- Names of the couple, hosts or family members;
- Wedding or event date and time;
- Venue and map information;
- Contact details;
- Photographs and videos;
- Family photographs;
- Religious or cultural information voluntarily provided for the invitation;

- Guest information; and
- RSVP questions and responses.
Please do not provide Aadhaar numbers, passport details, financial passwords, medical information or other sensitive information that is not necessary for creating the invitation.
RSVP information
Where an invitation includes RSVP functionality, we may process:
- Guest name;
- Attendance response;
- Number of attendees;
- Meal preference;
- Contact details;
- Guest message; and
- Other information selected by the invitation purchaser.
The customer who orders the invitation determines what RSVP information is requested and is responsible for ensuring that guests receive appropriate information about how their details will be used.
Technical and usage information
When you use our website or a hosted invitation, we may collect:
- IP address;
- Browser and device type;
- Operating system;
- Approximate location derived from IP address;
- Referring webpage;
- Pages viewed;
- Date and time of access;
- Cookie identifiers;
- Error logs; and
- Website performance information.

- Deliver digital products;
- Host invitation websites;
- Operate RSVP functionality;

4. Customer responsibility for third-party information

By submitting another person’s information, the customer confirms that they:
- Have authority or permission to provide it;
- Have informed the individual where appropriate;
- Will not submit information unlawfully;
- Have the required rights to use submitted photographs, videos, music and text; and
- Will comply with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
5. Publicly accessible invitations
A hosted invitation may be accessible to anyone who has or receives its URL. Invitation links can be copied, forwarded, indexed or shared by recipients unless technical restrictions are enabled.
Customers should avoid placing highly sensitive or unnecessary personal information on a publicly accessible invitation.
Where Pexlumi offers password protection or restricted access, the customer may request that option before publication. No access-control method can guarantee that authorised recipients will not share invitation content with others.
6. Sharing of personal information
We may share information with service providers that assist us with:
- E-commerce hosting, including Shopify;
- Payment processing;
- Cloud storage and hosting;
- Website delivery and content-distribution services;
- Email, SMS and WhatsApp communication;
- Analytics;
- Customer support;
- Accounting, tax and legal compliance;
- Fraud prevention; and
- Technical development and maintenance.
These providers may process information only for the relevant service and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information:
- Where required by law, court order or governmental authority;
- To investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents;
- To protect the rights, property or safety of Pexlumi, customers or others;
- During a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of business assets; or
- With the customer’s consent.
Pexlumi does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Some service providers may store or process information outside India.
Where information is processed internationally, Pexlumi will take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual or organisational safeguards, subject to applicable law.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including service delivery, customer support, accounting, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
Unless a longer period is required:
- Order and invoice records may be retained for the period required under tax and accounting laws;
- Project files and customer-provided assets may be retained for approximately [12 months] after completion;
- Hosted invitations will normally remain available for the hosting period stated in the product description or order confirmation;
- RSVP data may be deleted or anonymized after 12 MONTHS following the event or hosting expiry; and
- Backup copies may remain for a limited additional period before being overwritten.
Customers should download and securely retain their final files. Pexlumi does not guarantee permanent archival storage.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organizational and technical measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
However, no website, digital transmission or storage method is completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting their account credentials, download links and invitation passwords.
10. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep the store functioning;
- Remember preferences;
- Maintain shopping-cart and checkout sessions;
- Measure traffic and performance;
- Detect fraud;
- Understand how visitors use the website; and
- Support advertising or marketing where enabled.
Browser settings can be used to block or delete certain cookies. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly.
11. Marketing communications
We may send promotional emails, messages or offers where the recipient has consented or where permitted under applicable law.

Service messages concerning an existing order may still be sent after marketing communications are disabled.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify the identity and authority of the requester.
13. Children
Pexlumi’s purchasing services are intended for adults.
Where a customer submits photographs or details concerning a child, the customer confirms that they are the child’s parent or guardian or have appropriate permission from the parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly request children to independently create an account or purchase services.
14. Third-party links
Invitations and website pages may contain links to maps, venues, social media platforms, payment services, gift registries or other third-party websites.
Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies. Pexlumi is not responsible for how independent third parties collect or use information.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal obligations.
The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through email or another appropriate method.
